    Job Description

    Core Purpose

     

    The Calibration Supervisor ensures precision and compliance in the calibration of RF and electrical instruments, while leading a team of technicians in an accredited lab environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Leadership & Oversight

     

    o Supervise daily operations in the Electrical/RF Lab.

     

    o Train, mentor, and manage technicians.

     

    o Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards and NIST traceability.

     

    • Technical Calibration

     

    o Perform and oversee calibration of RF/Microwave instruments (e.g., Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters).

     

    o Calibrate electronic instruments (e.g., Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Hipot Testers).

     

    • Quality & Compliance

     

    o Review calibration reports for accuracy and traceability.

     

    o Support audits and implement corrective actions.

     

    • Workflow Management

     

    o Assign priorities, manage workload, and meet turnaround times.

     

    o Maintain lab safety and environmental controls.

     

    • Collaboration

     

    o Work with engineers and QA to resolve technical issues and improve processes.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Experience: 5+ years in Electrical and RF calibration, supervisory experience is a plus.

     

    Technical Knowledge: Manual calibration, ISO/IEC 17025 standards, uncertainty principles.

     

    Preferred: Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training or equivalent technical education.

     

    Soft Skills: Leadership, communication, problem-solving, team training.

     

    Tools: Calibration software, databases, Microsoft Office. Why It Matters
