Summary:
Meta is seeking AI Research Scientists to join the Realtime AI Voice team within Meta Super-intelligence Labs. The team works on speech-LLMs, and leverages knowledge in areas like speech encoders, pre-training, post-training, reinforcement learning, LLM alignment, multimodal modeling, speech and audio processing, speech recognition, speech synthesis, and multilingual modeling.
Required Skills:
MSL Voice team Research Scientist Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate, and execute on research that pushes forward the state of the art in speech and large language model research
2. Directly contribute to experiments, including designing experimental details, develop reusable code, running evaluations, and organizing results
3. Contribute to publications and open-sourcing efforts
4. Help identify long-term research goals as well as intermediate milestones
5. Prioritize research that can be applied to Meta's product development
Minimum Qualifications:

6. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
8. PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar quantitative field
9. Proven track record publications at peer-reviewed AI & speech conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ICASSP)
10. Experience in training, fine-tuning, and/or experimenting with foundation models beyond black-box use
11. Familiarity with one or more deep learning frameworks (e.g. pytorch, tensorflow, …)
12. Direct experience in generative AI and LLM research
13. Experience to communicate complex research for public audiences of peers

14. High impact publications at leading AI and speech conferences and journals (e.g. e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ICASSP)
15. Candidates should have an interest in taking new research findings in this area and implementing them towards product needs
16. Experience bringing machine learning-based products from research to production
17. Experience with interdisciplinary and/or cross-collaboration
Public Compensation:
$122,000/year to $181,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
