    About This Role

     

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in the development of electronic controls for a space\-grade weapons program\. The successful candidate will be responsible for all technical aspects of the project while supervising a team of Electrical Engineers as direct reports\. This position will ensure the integration of technical efforts across Cognizant Engineers and supporting organizations\. This role also includes schedule planning and Cost\-Account Management\. This position requires strong technical leadership, financial oversight, organizational skills, and a commitment to excellence in engineering\.

    Responsibilities:

    + Lead and manage the technical aspects of the project, ensuring alignment with program goals and engineering standards\.

    + Supervise a team of Electrical Engineers as direct reports, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations\.

    + Ensure the integrity and performance of electronic assemblies through rigorous testing and validation processes\.

    + Drive the execution of engineering processes, including design, development, prototyping, and testing\.

    + Plan and allocate engineering resources effectively to meet project milestones and deliverables\.

    + Coordinate efforts across Cognizant Engineers and supporting organizations to ensure seamless technical integration within the project\.

    + Oversee the project budget, manage costs, and ensure that the project remains within financial constraints\. Track and report on financial performance and implement cost\-saving measures as needed\.

    + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability\.

    Required Technical and Leadership Competencies:

    + Possess strong technical skills relevant to Electrical Engineering, PCB Design and developing space\-grade products\.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field\.

    + 10 years of experience with a minimum of 2 years in project engineering, preferably in aerospace or defense industries\.

    + Proven experience in developing electronic systems, ideally with a focus on space\-grade hardware\.

    + Excellent leadership, communication, and problem\-solving skills\.

    + Experience with Cost\-Account Management and budget oversight\.

    + Strong understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and testing methodologies\.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment\.

    + Classified Information Statement – This position requires applicant to have an active security clearance\.

    + Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including US Citizenship, for access to classified information\.

     

    Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs\. Benefits may include health insurance and prescription plan coverage, dental insurance, family building benefits, vision insurance, mental health resources, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and programs that provide employees time away from work\. The pay range should be used as a general guide only\. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations\.

     

    In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is

     

    $142,600 \- $218,400 per year\.
