    About the Role:

    Join TAI’s On-site Services team as a Welder/Fabricator, where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the critical infrastructure of a world-class, large-scale biologics manufacturing facility. In this position, you will be the technical expert responsible for the precision fabrication and welding of stainless and carbon steel process piping—the literal lifelines of 24/7 pharmaceutical production. Beyond basic assembly, you will translate complex engineering blueprints into high-pressure steam, gas, and sanitary systems, utilizing advanced metal-forming machinery to solve technical challenges in real-time.     Here’s a glimpse into your day to day:

    + This individual will play a critical part in welding carbon, stainless-steel process piping and sanitary piping in a Multi-Product Large-Scale Biologics Manufacturing Facility, which operates 24/7/365.

    + Weld pipe in a variety of positions: horizontal, vertical, overhead

    + Weld high pressure pipe, steam line or gas line, process pipe or sanitary pipe

    + Read and interpret blueprints/engineering drawings

    + Perform layout, cutting, and welding of plate and pipe

    + Work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision and make sound decisions and solve technical problems

    + Operate various metal forming and cutting machines such as Rollers, Shears, Iron Worker, Brakes, Drill Presses, and Saws.

    + Work in diversified and complex situations. Solutions to problems will require the use of independent judgment following company policies and procedures.

    + Intimately familiar with Welding Safety and OSHA requirements.

    + Perform other duties as required.

    You’ll be a perfect fit if you have:

    + High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or certification from trade school is a plus.

    + Three or more years of experience performing TIG Welding processes.

    + AWS and ASME certifications are preferred, however not a requirement.

    + Preferably have experience with either sanitary pipe, high pressure pipe, steam line or gas line, or process pipe welding

    + Knowledgeable on gasses and what types of filler metals can be used on a project.

    + Must know how to adjust, troubleshoot, and operate all types of welding machines.

    + Must be able to weld a variety of metals, primarily Stainless and Carbon Steel. Aluminum experience is a plus.

    + OSHA 10 certification is required or ability to obtain certification within first 30 days of employment.

    + Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Must be able to remain in a stationary position as necessary to complete assigned tasks.

    + The person in this position needs to frequently move about client’s facilities and offices to access equipment and complete tasks.

    + Consistently ascend and descend portable and fixed ladders, scaffolding and other equipment used to reach equipment at various levels of height some of which maybe in excess of 25 feet in a safe manner.

    + Must be able to ascend and descend a large quantity of stairways at any given time.

    + Frequently move tools and equipment weighing up to 50lbs across client facilities as needed to complete tasks.

    + Occasionally lift and move equipment in excess of 100lbs in a safe manner.

    + Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions as needed.

    Shifts:

    Mon – Fri (8 hr. shift) start between 6-8am

    Compensation and Benefits:

    + Pay: $30-40/hour (Based upon experience)

    + Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
