    ### Job Duties

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Set up and start injection molding machines according to documented and validated process instructions to ensure first-time quality and on-time production.

    2. Operate and monitor presses, tooling, and auxiliary equipment (including hot runner systems, valve gates, servo drivers, and protection sensors) to prevent damage, contamination, and downtime.

    3. Perform daily documentation, preventive maintenance, and process checks to confirm presses are running within established process limits using good documentation practices.

    4. Troubleshoot press alarms and production issues and respond promptly to maintain quality, efficiency, and production flow.

    5. Train and support operators and technicians on press operation, mold functions, and safe work practices to ensure consistent performance across shifts.

    6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and product quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

    7. Execute proper shutdowns, line clearances, and shift handoffs, including purging systems and documenting critical information to ensure smooth transitions and future setups.

    8. Other duties as assigned.

     

    ### Minimum Education Required

    High School Diploma/GED-General Studies.

     

    ### Minimum Experience Required

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    1. High School Diploma/GED-General Studies.

    2. Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States; Valid driver’s license required.

    3. Minimum 2 experience in plastic injection molding industry as a setup technician.

    4. Ability to multitask, run several projects at the same time without losing the ability to complete them on time.

    5. Ability to communicate with other departments in a professional and respectful manner.

    6. Basic computer skills.

    7. Strong problem-solving skills.

    8. Processing, controller, and material knowledge of injection molding equipment, tooling, and decoupled molding techniques (Scientific Molding).

    9. Basic understanding of scales and other required measuring equipment.

    10. Knowledge of a variety of injection molding presses.

    11. Understanding of blueprint reading.

    12. Knowledge of setting up processes.

    13. To be able to perform daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
