    Chief Engineer, Intego 500

    PURPOSE:

    As the Chief Engineer for the Intego 500 program, you will play a pivotal role in the Device R&D organization, leading one of the most significant Device R&D programs. Your responsibilities will encompass managing a broad range of engineering activities, including fluid delivery systems and software development, during the new product development phase. You will be accountable for realizing the product vision by successfully guiding the new product through design, development, launch, and post-launch phases. Reporting to the Head of Device R&D, you will ensure the successful delivery and maintenance of the Nuclear Medicine Injector (Intego 500).

    YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Lead and manage the technical team responsible for the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of fluid delivery systems and software for the Intego Neo program;

    + Introduce 7-10 new radio pharmaceuticals through the Intego delivery system;

    + Upgrade the software platform to meet cybersecurity standards and address parts obsolescence to extend the life of the current design;

    + Provide regulatory submission documents for US, EU, China, and other countries;

    + Collaborate with external engineering design companies for turnkey solutions, ensuring technical development, product documentation, testing, and regulatory submission meet Medical Device Process and Quality Management System compliance;

    + Work closely with regulatory strategists to define submission dossier scope and ensure team deliverables meet submission guidelines;

    + Supervise product launch, hyper-care, and aftermarket support to ensure quality and compliance with customer expectations;

    + Engage with commercial marketing to support business case development and directly interact with physicians and clinicians during the device development process;

    + Optimize funding and resources with program management to achieve program objectives and milestones through detailed technical planning and project scheduling.

    + The primary location for this role is Indianola, PA.

    WHO YOU ARE:

    Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

    Required Qualifications:

    + Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or related field;

    + 3+ years of experience in Phase 0-6 of Medical Device Development (Conception, Ideation, Requirements, Design, Verification, Validation, Launch);

    + 7+ years (BS) or 5+ years (MS) of experience in core engineering disciplines, including hardware, software, and processes;

    + Customer knowledge, procedure know-how, and product CTQ for Nuclear Medicine development systems;

    + Leadership and motivational skills with the ability to build functional teams through a Matrix Organization;

    + Deep understanding of software and hardware development for medical devices;

    + Experience in formulating and implementing product and market strategies on a global basis;

    + Knowledge of global regulatory requirements associated with a Medical Devices company (preferably 5-7 years of working knowledge).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + MS/PhD degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.

    Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $128,000.00 - $192,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
