    The Senior Manager of Identity & Access Management is a technical leadership role responsible for engineering, operations, and strategic advancement of identity services across a global enterprise. This leader will drive IAM/IAG maturity, scalability, and automation while integrating tools and processes that secure access for diverse business verticals, including hospitality, retail, food & beverage, and ski operations.

     

    The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on technical expertise with proven leadership experience and strong communication skills. They bring a relentless drive to achieve results, exceptional problem-solving capabilities, and sharp business acumen to align identity strategies with organizational goals. This leader will mentor engineers, collaborate across IT and business teams, and deliver identity solutions that strengthen business agility, security, and compliance.

    Job Specifications:

    + Starting Wage: $140,000 - $200,000 + annual bonus

    Job Responsibilities:

    Technical & Engineering Leadership

    + Lead and mentor a team of IAM engineers and analysts supporting directory services, identity lifecycle automation, access governance, application onboarding, and identity security.

    + Serve as the technical authority on IAM, including hands-on engineering for complex integrations, Entra ID/AD configuration, federation, SSO/MFA, and automation workflows.

    + Design and lead migrations from legacy IAM solutions to modern IAM/IGA platforms.

    + Oversee the onboarding of enterprise applications into IAM systems with automated provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, and compliance controls.

    Program & Architecture Ownership

    + Own and evolve the IAM strategy and roadmap, aligning identity capabilities with enterprise goals, new technologies, global expansion, and risk management practices.

    + Manage team budgets, project portfolio, and resource allocation. Develop and propose new initiatives aligned to the IAM roadmap.

    + Partner closely with enterprise infrastructure, cloud engineering, application teams, and IT leadership to ensure identity-first and secure-by-design architecture in all new initiatives.

    + Develop and enforce IAM/IAG policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.

    + Provide architecture oversight and subject matter expertise for identity-related security assessments and design reviews.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

    + Communicate IAM strategy, risks, metrics, and program updates to technical leaders, business partners, senior executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.

    + Translate complex identity concepts into business-level recommendations and actionable plans.

    + Serve as a trusted advisor to IT, security leadership, compliance, and business units regarding identity security, governance, and operational maturity.

    + Promote identity and IT security awareness and best practices among employees, including training and education.

    Operational Excellence

    + Lead global operations and collaborate across geographically dispersed teams.

    + Drive automation, standardization, and service optimization initiatives that reduce manual workload and improve consistency, compliance, and operations.

    + Ensure IAM program supports compliance, audit readiness, and strong internal controls for regulatory frameworks, including SOX, PCI, and GDPR.

    + Participate in and guide identity-related incident response activities.

    Job Requirements:

    + 7+ years of progressive experience in IAM engineering, identity security, or related IT/security functions.

    + Demonstrated leadership and hands-on experience with identity platform migrations, large-scale application integrations, and identity lifecycle automation.

    + Proven track record leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and fostering collaboration.

    + Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present confidently to executives, influence decision-making, and convey technical topics clearly.

    + Strong business acumen and understanding of how identity intersects with IT operations, risk management, compliance, and enterprise processes.

    + Expertise with Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO/MFA, federation, enterprise IAM/IAG platforms, and access governance practices.

    + Strength in hybrid IAM and public cloud identity management (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).

    + Deep knowledge of security standards, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., NIST, CIS, OWASP).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with Saviynt IGA (strong plus).

    + Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIAM, Microsoft identity/security certifications, or similar.

    + Experience driving IAM programs in a complex, multi-vertical enterprise.

    + Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, APIs).

    + Experience in guest or customer identity management.

    The expected Total Compensation for this role is $140,000 - $200,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
