    This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with and implementation of state and federal laws, specifically Title IV-B and IV-E of the Social Security Act, rules and policies regarding child welfare, children in out-of-home placement, and permanency.

     

    Purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with statewide child foster care and permanency standards, with a primary focus on the out-of-home placement plan, case management and reunification policy/best practice that leads to consistent and equitable child welfare foster care and permanency practice across the state.

     

    This position will provide technical assistance, support counties/ tribes to implement and monitor consistent practice standards. Major program responsibilities include protective supervision, removal and foster care placement, parent engagement; trial home visits; out-of-home placement plan, assessment of the needs and culturally appropriate, trauma informed services for children, parents and foster parent/facility and reunification assessment.

    Responsibilities include:

    + Develop and implement statewide child foster care and permanency practice standards and policy to guide the delivery of county and tribal agency child placement services and to ensure compliance with federal (Title IV-B and IV-E of the Social Security Act), state laws and regulations.

    + Implement federal and state policy and review statewide consistence of foster care and permanency practices which includes establishing a process to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and to review application of practice standards

    + Provide technical assistance to county, tribal, and other child-welfare stakeholders to implement and maintain consistent interpretation of state and federal laws, foster care and permanency practice standards.

    + Provide policy information as requested by parent, youth and foster parents.

    + Other tasks as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    _**To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.**_

     

    Three (3) years of experience working with social services agencies with a focus on foster care or childcare placing agencies. Experience must include the following:

     

    + Experience working with county or tribal organizations along with social services systems to advise and direct social service programs

    + Knowledge of foster care and permanency practice standards

    + Knowledge of state and federal legal and administrative statues, rules guidelines and laws

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with writing foster care and permanency practice standards, reports, grant proposals and correspondence.

    + Experience analyzing demographic and recipient data, social services plan compliance data and service provision data and synthesize it into reports.

    + Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
