    Summary

    The Branch Relationship Specialist will provide superior banking experience to clients and prospects via telephone, electronic channels and face-to-face interactions. A successful Branch Relationship Specialist will support all lines of business, including Mortgage and Commercial, with Retail services and product assistance. The Branch Relationship Specialist will assist the branch in building a portfolio of clients through trusted relationship banking by consistently conducting fast, easy, and personal banking transactions; by supporting outside sales efforts, and by understanding how each of the Bank’s products may fulfill evolving client needs. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, results-oriented banking professional to build a service model and help to define relationship banking suite of products that will drive additional relationships for the Bank.

    Responsibilities:

    + Serve as the primary liaison for mortgage and commercial clients, assisting with deposit accounts, home equity loans, and consumer lending.

    + Support branch outside sales through lead generation, setting appointments, updating sales documentation, and preparing professional visibility pieces. Generate new business through proactive outreach and targeted marketing campaigns.

    + Support the region around a hub branch to include operational, sales, and service assistance and serves as a resource for all VIP clients.

    + Conduct all types of banking transactions, including opening and processing new deposit accounts including savings, checking, certificates of deposit and IRAs and new loan accounts including home equity lines, other consumer and business lending loans.

    + Represent the bank in a positive, courteous, and professional manner by promptly greeting each client.

    + Ensure that efficient, professional, and quality VIP service is delivered through the handling of various financial transactions whether in person or by telephone.

    + Resolve client inquiries regarding deposit, loan, and treasury management services.

    + Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through mastery of Bank products, knowledge of client banking needs, and anticipation of clients’ future banking needs.

    + Use discretion and ethical approach when conducting all Bank business.

    + Assist in training of Mortgage Loan Officers ’s on consumer products.

    + Protect all client and bank information confidentially and follow all company policies.

    + Understand, communicate, and instill the Company’s mission, vision, and values (Pillars of Success).

    + Complete monthly training in a timely manner to ensure knowledge of bank regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.

    + Working at the worksite during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.

    + Other specified duties as assigned.

     

    Compensation & Benefits

     

    The Branch Relationship Specialist position pays a minimum of $25.00 per hour.

    Skills

    + Thorough understanding of retail banking loan and deposit products for consumers and businesses.

    + Proven track record of exceptional client service.

    + Proven track record of business development skills.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to anticipate needs

    + High emotional intelligence with proven ability to be a trusted advisor.

    + Proficiency with common computer programs (i.e. Windows, MS Office, email, etc.)

    + Ability to be NMLS licensed and registered, required.

    Education & Experience

    + High school diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

    + 5+ years of banking experience, preferred.

    + Financial services aptitude.

    + Previous experience in business development, mortgage lending, or retail banking.

    + Familiarity with regulatory compliance and SAFE Act requirements.

    Physical Requirements

    The work environment is typical of standard office and retail banking settings. The position is medium work, exerting up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and associate often sits, including for client meetings and computer work. Associate will frequently stand or walk throughout different areas of banking center, client businesses, and when conducting outside service activities. Standing and walking may be required for sustained periods of time for moving from one work site to another both inside and outside the banking center and for conducting banking transactions. Travel will be required for outside sales and training activities. Reaching may be required, involving extension of arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone, will be used, requiring the use of hands and fingers to manipulate a keyboard or keypad. Visual ability to read a computer screen or written documents is necessary. Speaking ability to express or exchange ideas; impart oral information to clients, staff, or to the public; or convey detailed or important spoken instructions by means of the spoken word is required. Hearing is necessary to receive detailed information through oral communication.
