Your role and responsibilities
IBM is seeking to hire a Semiconductor IT Professional that is experienced with implementing a MES (Manufacturing Execution System) into a semiconductor manufacturing/development operation. The Engineering Project Manager will work with the IBM Hardware team based in Yorktown Heights, NY to build and ramp-up a new lab on the IBM campus in Poughkeepsie, NY. The position will initially be based in Yorktown with occasional travel to Poughkeepsie but will transition over the first two years to being in Poughkeepsie, with occasional travel to Yorktown.
The Engineer will need to have experience in a semiconductor or packaging facility and have experience with MES systems, preferably SiView. The engineer will be the lead for the logistics bring-up of the facility and will guide the project through the various phases of design and implementation including interacting with the SiView product team, configuring the MES for the specific wafer and chip processing in the lab, and ultimately, operation of the facility.
It is envisioned that this role will be one of the leaders in the new Poughkeepsie lab as the team grows.
Required technical and professional expertise
Experience with Semiconductor MES Systems.
Experience working in Semiconductor or Packaging fabrication facility.
