Job Summary and Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
The OR Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for assisting the OR staff in the optimal use of the computer system applications with a focus on documentation of supply/implant usage and profile verification. This includes coordinating integration of OR systems with internal and external systems, as well as a liaison to other hospital departments including, but not limited to, Finance, Supply Chain, Admitting, Infection Control, Risk Management, IT&S, and HIMS. Responsible for installation, planning, coordinating, and education of system applications, installation, upgrades, and updates. Responsible for ensuring data integrity through periodic audits and reviewing/revising policies and procedures in the use of supplied system software. Performs any other job-related duties as requested by the Division OR Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
+ Verification Process
+ ECQM, Rooms, Procedure Severity, Times, Wound Class
+ Supply / Implant documentation
+ Manage ‘Hold’ Accounts, including monitoring and reporting
+ Initiate VIRA process
+ Charge reconciliations and OE charges
+ Build /maintain Blocks
+ Clean and standardize Dictionaries
+ Maintain Standard Dictionaries including but not limited to ,Anesthesia, Resource, and Scheduling
+ Maintain Inventory Dictionaries
+ Build /maintain Instrument Dictionary
+ Standardize /maintain Preference Card headers and Preference Card maintenance
+ Testing for New Releases
+ Documentation Quality Audits
+ SME for OR Module, educate on OR Module to Educator / Staff – Standard
+ Work with Medical Staff to maintain physician privileges
+ Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including facility rounding
+ Act as SME for Schedulers
+ Month-end reporting, Ad hoc reporting for SSPD and SME for dashboard
+ Maintain Downtime forms, troubleshoot and support OR documentation
+ Develop standard education for all supported facilities
+ Facility resource for implementation & support new technology:
+ In VivoLink, Tissue Tracker, Scheduling Express
+ Instrument Tracking, Surgical Symphony, PODS
+ Other duties as assigned within scope of practice and competence
What qualifications you will need:
+ Associate degree preferred
+ 3+ years of clinical experience preferred
+ 3+ years of Informatics/Analyst experience required
+ Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
+ Strong communication, ability to network, collaborative, and ability to adapt required
