    What you will accomplish in this role

     

    HCA Healthcare is seeking a visionary Decision Intelligence Lead to shape the future of healthcare through strategic insights and data-driven decision-making. In this pivotal role, you will lead a critical portfolio of market and technology intelligence spanning the healthcare revenue cycle, finance, payer-provider policy, clinical operations, and emerging technologies such as AI. Your work will deliver high-impact recommendations that reduce uncertainty and accelerate value creation for operational, financial, and executive leadership across the HCAH enterprise.

     

    As the Decision Intelligence Lead, you will manage the intake and prioritization of intelligence requests from senior leaders, transforming complex questions into clear, executive-ready deliverables that inform technology and operational strategy. You will build strong partnerships across clinical, operational, and technology teams to ensure alignment and foster collaboration. Applying rigorous methodologies, you will gather, analyze, and interpret market, proprietary, and field intelligence to provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights that guide enterprise technology transformation.

     

    Leading a team of talented professionals, you will cultivate a culture of excellence, clarity, inclusion, and accountability. Reporting to the Director of Ecosystem, you will serve as a trusted advisor in shaping enterprise-wide operational intelligence and driving innovation that impacts millions of patients and providers nationwide.

    What you will do in this role:

    + Lead strategic sensing, scanning, and landscape analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the portfolio of internal domain products, third party enterprise applications, and external industry partners.

    + Drive the discovery, evaluation, and engagement process for potential internal and external partners and vendors.

    + Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.

    + Ensure alignment and engagement of leadership with overarching ecosystem strategies, tools, frameworks, and processes.

    + Synthesize complex market intelligence and generate impactful insights to reduce uncertainty and inform strategic decision-making.

    + Manage the intake, prioritization, and timely delivery of work products

    + Develop and implement robust methodologies and protocols to guide ecosystem initiatives and ensure consistent execution.

    + Provide clear, unbiased, and actionable recommendations to accelerate value realization and achieve desired outcomes.

    + Lead, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

    What qualifications you will need:

    + Bachelor's degree - Required

    + Master's degree - Required

    + Doctorate's degree – Required

    + 7+ years of internal and/or external consulting or related experience within healthcare or related fields - Required

    + 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, finance, payer-provider relations, utilization management, or clinical operations – Preferred

    + 3+ years of experience in a leadership role or equivalent - Preferred

    + 3+ years of experience in AI and other emerging technologies – Preferred

    Work Location/Schedule:

    + Nashville, TN area (near Centennial Park)

    + Onsite: M-F, 8am – 5pm

    Travel Required:

    + This job may require up to 25% travel
