    The Ambulatory Oncology Nursing Operation Associate Administrator, in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, will be responsible to formulate regional strategy and oversee operations to ensure consistent delivery of safe, evidence-based care as well as identifying and implementing growth initiatives. The role will support the organizational goal of growing the cancer care program. In addition, this role will be responsible to enhance operational efficiency, elevate patient outcomes, and support the growth of USC Care's infusion services as a model of excellence in academic healthcare.

    Essential Duties:

    + Establish short-term and long-term strategic plan. Responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives.

    + Leads ongoing strategy development, identifying and evaluating strategic growth and performance improvement opportunities.

    + Standardize nursing practice across sites to ensure adherence to professional standards and scope of practice.

    + Drive innovation in nursing practice through implementation of evidence based practices and new technologies- establish and monitor clinical protocols, competency assessments and continuing education.

    + Champion patient centered care by promoting safety, quality, and compassionate care delivery.

    + Lead initiatives to improve clinical outcomes, reduce adverse events, and ensure regulatory compliance.

    + Collaborate with administrative leadership to optimize staffing models, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximize chair utilization.

    + Support budget planning to ensure efficient use of nursing resources and maintain high quality and safety in care delivery.

    + Partner with USC Care administrative, financial and pharmacy leadership to expand infusion services and integrate new therapies.

    + Foster a culture of accountability, staff engagement, and professional growth.

    + Effectively manages employees including setting performance expectations, coaching, mentoring, providing development opportunities and fostering high functioning collaboration among employees.

    + Participates in annual budget planning with executive and finance teams.

    + Participates in annual capital needs review; prioritization and spending.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Req Master’s degree Nursing

    + Req 5-7 years Progressive leadership experience within nursing and/or ambulatory/hospital administration.

    + Req 7 years Experience as an RN

    + Req Ability to provide leadership to establish priorities and to develop and implement solutions.

    + Req Ability to act as liaison between the administrative and medical staffs, direct reports, and external stakeholders.

    + Req Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Req Strong critical and strategic thinking, analytical and planning skills.

    + Req Demonstrates integrity; is ethical in conduct and decision thinking.

    + Req Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as Internet access and utilization.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Pref Specialty Certification

    Required Licenses/Certifications:

    + Req Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing)

    + Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association

    + Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)

     

    The annual base salary range for this position is $191,360.00 - $315,744.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
