As a Coordinator III for Kidney Medicine, your efforts support essential administrative and non-clinical functions and are crucial to helping us continue providing the exceptional care our patients and communities expect. In this role, you will oversee departmental organization, coordination, and workflow, and assume responsibility for all activities related to the successful completion of both scheduled and unscheduled pediatric and/or adult surgery and procedure admissions and appointments. You will also work in conjunction with physicians and staff to prioritize admissions and appointments and to maximize allocated space based on medical needs. Your work is vital to the team, helping create an environment where fellow caregivers can work efficiently and cohesively.
A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
_This position offers a hybrid schedule following training, with up to two remote days per week and on-site work at Main campus Monday through Friday._
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Coordinate all support and clerical activities for the department by providing support to internal clients while functioning as a liaison with external clients.
+ Coordinate various department activities by facilitating analysis and reporting information.
+ Develop, maintain and distribute reports for schedules, budgets, staff, PTO and patient information.
+ Prepare, provide analysis for and implement special studies and projects.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Five years of office experience
+ Five years of experience coordinating and assisting with management functions and special projects
+ Proficient with spreadsheets, word processing and database software
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Experience with Microsoft Word, EPIC and Excel
+ Knowledge of computerized appointment/OR scheduling systems, patient billing, insurance processing or other related office functions to coordinate patient access
+ In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and/or CPT/ICD coding
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
+ Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
+ Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
+ In some locations, ability to move up to 20 pounds
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $17.25
Maximum hourly: $26.31
