Our client, a leading logistics and freight forwarding organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Administrative Assistant to join their team. As a Logistics Administrative Assistant, you will be an essential part of the operations support team, ensuring smooth shipment processing and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** Logistics Administrative Assistant
**Location:** Jamaica, NY
**Pay Range:** $20
**Shift:** 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Friday
What's the Job?
+ Provide high-quality customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
+ Prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations.
+ Anticipate and resolve issues that could delay freight movement or release.
+ Coordinate with brokers, service providers, and internal departments to ensure efficient shipment processing.
+ Assist with account implementation, including developing SOPs and supporting training efforts.
What's Needed?
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Proficient computer skills with the ability to input and correct data accurately.
+ Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
+ Knowledge of freight forwarding or logistics operations preferred.
+ Basic understanding of air export regulations, hazardous materials handling, and international trade banking requirements.
