    Job Description

    Title: Solution Architect Bentley APM (Actual working title noted as Bentley APM Consultant / IT Solutions Engineer, Expert).

     

    Local candidates preferred, at least once a week onsite

     

    Role summary: Seeking a Bentley APM contractor/consultant with deep platform expertise to configure and extend the Bentley APM solution, support release upgrades, and build internal capability through hands-on training and upskilling.

     

    Key responsibilities: - Provide technical leadership and hands-on configuration in Bentley APM, including data model/configuration, rules/logic, workflows, health/risk frameworks, and dashboards/reports. - Design and implement new Bentley APM solutions and use cases aligned to Electric Operations asset and maintenance processes. - Lead and support upgrade activities to new Bentley APM releases: impact assessments, configuration changes, regression testing support, and cutover/go-live support. - Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend performance and stability improvements. - Partner with internal IT and operations stakeholders to translate requirements into Bentley APM configurations and technical designs. - Create documentation such as configuration guides, runbooks, upgrade notes, and admin SOPs.

     

    Required qualifications: - Proven experience as a Bentley APM SME with multiple implementations and/or significant production support experience. - Strong technical depth in configuration, troubleshooting, environment support, and release upgrade experience. - Experience working in a utility environment (electric preferred) with familiarity in asset and maintenance processes.

     

    Training and upskilling responsibilities: - Develop and deliver structured training for internal staff (admins, analysts, support engineers, and key power users). - Run hands-on workshops covering configuration, troubleshooting, upgrade readiness, and best practices. - Create reusable training materials including slide decks, exercises, checklists, and how-to guides. - Coach the internal team through pairing sessions to ensure knowledge transfer beyond classroom training.

     

    Preferred: - SAP exposure (integration touchpoints, work management concepts). - Experience with integrations and data flows (APIs/ETL, data warehouse/lake, reporting tools) in an APM context.
