    Our Opportunity

     

    North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Cost Accountant - II to join our team. The ideal candidate will maintain the Company's standard costing system while ensuring compliance with Corporate policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    Your Priorities

     

    + Runs monthly costing for all NAL part numbers, analyze results, and make adjustments as needed.

    + Prepares, analyzes, and posts monthly cost of production, overhead, inventory, and scrap journal entries.

    + Calculates monthly royalty payments to shareholder.

    + Audits Bills of Material and Routings in the AS/400, reports errors to appropriate personnel, and follows-up to ensure that changes are made.

    + Enters standard costs to the system for all purchased components.

    + Calculates and analyzes inventory value of general ledger compared to manufacturing stock status.

     

    Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000

    Requirements

    Your Background

     

    Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, plus 2 - 4 years of experience in an accounting position.

     

    Experience in a manufacturing cost accounting position is preferred.
