A Corporate Real Estate team within a large corporation is looking to add an Interior Designer to their team!

Job Description:

+ Responsible for development and implementation of design standards including expertise in selecting appropriate FF&E, finishes, and other design elements in partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors

+ Work with Corporate Real Estate project managers to develop and coordinate conceptual designs for use in executive and finance review/approval

+ Work with internal collaborators to develop strategic design plans for improvements to internal and external facing spaces and for delivering new initiatives

+ Manage time and workload effectively, prioritizing work based on leadership guidance

+ Develop and lead space planning, programming and utilization calculations for the company's owned and/or maintained facilities throughout the network

+ Open, review, and understand architectural plans from third party architect and engineers

+ Provide subject matter expertise in regards to design for new or evolving initiatives

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture

+ 8+ years of professional experience

+ A combination of interior design and interior architecture experience, however this role will lean more towards design

+ Required design skills: FF&E, test-fitting, material selection, creating presentations

+ Required interior architecture skills: schematic design and design document preparation, reviewing of architectural plans

+ Experience in multiple typologies (preference on workplace, aviation, industrial (no specific order))

+ Must have ADA / Accessibility compliance exposure

+ Software skills: InDesign, Revit, Bluebeam (knowledge), Excel

+ Strong communication skills

+ NCIDQ (preferred)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.88/hr.
