    Key role on Toro’s residential mass sales business team. Responsible for achieving annual retail sales and profitability targets by product category with Lowe’s & Tractor Supply. Coordinate & execute product demonstrations, implement promotional sales events, and facilitate customer engagements at retail store locations. Develop & lead sales training with the applicable merchants, retail store field leadership & associate teams. Drive merchandising & promotional execution within assigned region. Develop and leverage key field account relationships.

     

    What Will You Do?

     

    In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for :   ​ ​ ​ ​

     

    + Direct responsibility for retail sales, product demonstrations, and promotional sales event execution in the North Carolina region.

    + Supervise the national field sales representative team for assigned residential mass retail accounts, to include performance feedback, job coaching, & support.

    + Regularly monitor, analyze, & report retail sales performance at all retail stores & identify growth opportunities.

    + Execute retail promotional strategies, merchandising initiatives, retail store demo events, and customer engagement walks within designated stores in the assigned region.

    + Drive alignment & brand representation consistency across all field sales team events, store associate training, & retail promotion execution.

    + Build and maintain strong field store management, store & merchandising associate account relationships at retail stores to be a trusted resource to foster Toro brand affinity & enable retail sales success.

    + Serve as the Toro product knowledge subject matter expert and conduct in-store product knowledge training sessions for retail store managers & associates.

    + Provide regular business intelligence and retail sales performance updates to the Toro residential sales & marketing leadership teams.

    + Ensure Toro’s brand presence remains best-in-class across all retail locations.

    + Understand the competitive landscape to effectively position Toro and to identify opportunities & threats.

    + Support other initiatives & perform duties as assigned to meet business needs.

     

    What Do You Need?

     

    To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:   ​

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related discipline OR equivalent relevant experience.

    + Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sales, account support/account management, retail marketing, field/retail sales support, customer success, or related experience.

    + Proficient verbal communication skills with the ability to positively influence Toro product knowledge & brand affinity of store managers & associates.

    + Collaborative, results-oriented team player with a positive, can-do attitude.

    + Self-motivated with the ability to work independently & manage time effectively in the field.

    + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demanding projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    + Strong customer service orientation & problem-solving skills.

    + Effective relationship management & decision-influencing skills.

    Preferred qualifications:

    + Durable goods selling experience preferred.

    + Salesforce.com utilization experience preferred.

    Other Job-Related Components:

    + Location of this role would be based in the Charlotte, NC region.

    + Reports to the National Field Sales Manager, Residential Mass Sales (U.S.)

    + 100% Travel, with a mix of local, regional and national travel. Travel is necessary to drive the retail sales & business plan execution of Toro’s mass residential retail business.

    + Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.

    + Able to work full-time in a retail environment.

    + Occasional weekend work & overnight travel (up to 10 nights/month)

    Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between ​ $73,000 - $90,000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package.
