Lab Material HandlerPosition Overview
We are seeking an attentive, reliable, and fast‑paced Lab Material Handler to join our laboratory operations team! This role centers on the physical transport of completed sample trays from active testing areas into long‑term archive storage. The Lab Processor (Material Handler) ensures all materials are labeled, documented, and organized according to established protocols. This position requires consistent lifting, carrying, and maneuvering of heavy trays throughout the shift, along with maintaining a clean, orderly, and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Transporting heavy trays of tested samples from laboratory workstations to designated archive areas throughout the shift
+ Verifying sample identifiers, tray counts, and documentation before archiving
+ Organizing and storing samples in proper archive locations following established workflows and retention requirements
+ Using tracking systems, logs, or scanners to document sample movement accurately
+ Maintaining cleanliness and organization of archive storage zones and transport routes
+ Following all safety, biohazard handling, and laboratory compliance procedures
+ Supporting general material handling tasks as needed to keep sample flow efficient and uninterrupted
Required Skills & Experience
+ Experience in production, warehouse, picking/packing, material handling, or similar roles
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly without compromising accuracy.
+ Ability to work independently and stay focused during repetitive tasks.
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Must be comfortable working with bodily samples.
+ High School Diploma or GED required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.06 - $20.06/hr.
