    Job Title: Drafter/DesignerJob Description

     

    The Drafter/Designer will play a crucial role in supporting engineering and design projects, particularly in the power generation, industrial, or commercial sectors. This position requires a strong ability to read and interpret drawings and standards, utilizing skills in AutoCAD and Revit to solve complex problems and ensure compliance with relevant codes.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret drawings and standards to analyze and solve problems.

    + Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for design and drafting tasks.

    + Assist in engineering and design projects supporting power generation, industrial, or commercial sectors.

    + Ensure engineering designs comply with customer policies, procedures, and regulatory codes.

    + Prepare drawings, permits, and other documents, and maintain project records in computerized systems.

    + Work a flexible schedule, including potential overtime, to meet engineering needs.

    + Travel locally to client sites as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-15 years of experience with AutoCAD.

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

    + Strong team commitment and motivation with a positive outlook.

    + Interpersonal and written communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associate degree in a related field.

    + Experience in MEP design for power, industrial, or commercial projects.

    + Mechanical drafting experience.

    Work Environment

    This position offers a hybrid work setup, requiring in-office presence on Mondays and Tuesdays, with field visits approximately twice a month. The office locations include Cranberry or Homestead. The role involves local travel for day trips to client sites, with a per diem allowance for field days.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cranberry, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
