Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a state-of-the-art, heavily automated central fill pharmacy. In this role, you will be responsible for filling prescriptions, packaging medications, and maintaining pharmacy systems to ensure a continuous and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities
+ Manually fill prescriptions and replenish medications for automated dispensing stations.
+ Package medications and stock packages for distribution to retail pharmacies across Indiana and Minnesota.
+ Maintain pharmacy systems and technology, including inventory systems and automated medication counting machines, to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
+ Monitor inventory levels and expiration dates for pharmaceuticals, calibrate machines, and troubleshoot pill cell issues.
+ Track and maintain medication inventory, including sorting, placing, and storing freight, restocking medications, and reporting low stock levels.
+ Support the facility with reporting and paperwork to ensure productivity and pharmaceutical integrity.
+ Ensure fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions in an automated central fill pharmacy by verifying products, labeling prescriptions, and preparing packages in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Skills
+ Pharmacy technician license and certification.
+ Registered Pharmacy Technician in Indiana.
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and PTCB certification.
+ Experience in pharmacy and customer service.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician.
+ Holds a valid national certification certificate issued by PTCB or NHA.
+ Preferred experience in retail or warehouse settings.
+ Prior experience in a central fill, pill-pak, specialty/mail order production pharmacy/shipping department.
+ Ability to move, lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Work Environment
This role is based in a closed-door pharmacy with no customer service responsibilities, focusing solely on Registered Pharmacy Technicians, Shipping, and Receiving. The facility is a fast-paced production environment with a high level of attention to detail. The work schedule consists of 4-day, 10-hour shifts with available 1st and 2nd shifts. The pharmacy is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The environment is collaborative, with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, ship/rec coordinators, and managers, totaling around 200 onsite.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainfield, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.50/hr.
