Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves follow-ups, patient updates, data entry, and managing inbound phone calls. You will also be responsible for ordering labs, relaying lab results, and scheduling follow-ups.
Responsibilities
+ Follow up with patients and provide updates.
+ Perform data entry tasks related to patient information.
+ Answer inbound phone calls and address inquiries.
+ Order and manage lab tests and results.
+ Relay lab results to patients and medical staff.
+ Schedule patient follow-ups and appointments.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ year of experience in Medical Assisting.
+ Medical Assisting diploma or certification, or 1+ years MA experience preferred.
+ High School Diploma.
+ Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Athena.
+ Proficiency in medical terminology and patient care.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in appointment scheduling and clinical support.
+ Strong customer service skills.
+ Knowledge of insurance processes and billing.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is based onsite at a clinic, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. Our workplace offers a supportive and engaging environment with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401K plan. Employees receive holiday pay for six paid holidays, and upon permanent employment, nine paid holidays and 15 days of PTO. Performance-based pay raises and PTO tokens are available. We also host regular employee events such as dinners, lunches, and parties.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haines City, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
