Survey DrafterPosition Overview
We are seeking a skilled Survey Drafter to support the design and documentation of land development and public works projects. This is a fully desk‑based position with no fieldwork required. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD/Civil 3D and capable of producing accurate, detailed survey drawings for a variety of project types, including municipal infrastructure, bridges, building sites, roadways, streetscapes, and residential or commercial developments.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and maintain survey records, maps, and technical reports
+ Analyze survey data and create detailed drawings using CAD software
+ Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in survey deliverables
+ Provide occasional support and guidance to field crews
+ Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, standards, and quality requirements
Essential Skills
+ Experience as a CAD Technician with a focus on survey drafting
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
+ Strong understanding of land surveying principles and related software
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with MicroStation
+ Experience with OpenRoads
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Work Environment
This role is part of a close‑knit team in a supportive, family‑oriented environment that values professional growth and work‑life balance. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocky Hill, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
