Job Title: Process Development Technician (Junior Level)
Job Description
Operate production equipment and oversee the manufacturing and assembly of clinical and commercial products. Follow blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to meet product specifications and tolerance levels. Maintain production records and report inconsistencies or equipment issues in accordance with standard procedures. This role involves working with chemicals.
Responsibilities
+ Perform assembly processes for manufacturing medical devices.
+ Document activities in batch records and forms.
+ Measure and prepare chemical solutions.
+ Prepare assembly tooling for production.
+ Clean and sterilize medical device components.
+ Perform weekly cleaning of the production area and equipment.
+ Assist in assembly, configuration, and maintenance of equipment for tests and experiments.
+ Clean, disinfect, and maintain cleanrooms and equipment.
+ Operate equipment and perform analytical tests as assigned.
+ Assist in the installation, commissioning, and qualification support of new equipment.
+ Execute research and process development in-house analysis (profilometry, x-ray, imaging, pH, etc.), perform routine data analysis, and document results.
+ Collaborate with engineers to create and execute factory acceptance test plans and site acceptance test plans for new equipment.
+ Assist in the execution of equipment and process IQ/OQ/PQ.
+ Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and the company’s quality requirements in manufacturing processes.
+ Manage equipment maintenance, repair, and calibration services to keep production equipment operational.
+ Conduct studies and tests to support research, design, and development of components, parts, or changes for new or existing products.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in assembly and manufacturing processes.
+ Knowledge of safety procedures.
+ Understanding of cleanroom environments.
+ Proficiency in Python programming.
+ Associate's Degree.
+ GMP medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Fine motor skills and manual dexterity for handling small parts.
+ Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
+ Teamwork and attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to handle very small parts.
+ Exceptional hearing and sight.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alameda, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
