Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design and build automation and robotic equipment for the Powertrain division. This role is crucial in the development of cutting-edge technologies within our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
+ Design and develop automation and robotic systems.
+ Utilize Siemens TIA Portal for PLC programming and HMI/SCADA design.
+ Configure and manage controls hardware, including sensors, remote IO, servos, VFDs, and machine vision.
+ Implement and support industrial networking protocols such as Profinet, Ethernet I/P, and EtherCAT.
+ Present and discuss completed projects from the last two years using relevant skill sets in interviews.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 1-2 years of recent and relevant experience.
+ Proficiency in either PLC or Robotics.
+ Experience with Siemens TIA Portal for PLC-related tasks.
+ FANUC experience for Robotics, with iRVision being a plus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls and Computer Control Systems, Mechatronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
+ Experience with 6-axis robots, primarily FANUC.
+ Familiarity with integrating systems on a unified platform like TIA Portal.
Work Environment
This is a contract-to-hire, long-term position, offering a mix of mission-driven work and a high-performance culture.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $73.00/hr.
