    Mechanical Engineer Do you have 3-5 years of Solid Edge or Solid Works job experience? Are you interested in a hands-on metal manufacturing design job? In this position you will work with a growing engineering team to design emergency vehicle bodies and trailers for a leader in the field. Mickey Truck Body offers Mechanical Engineers: • $70,000-$80,000 base salary depending on experience • Production Bonuses paid bi-weekly. • Paid holidays and vacation time. • Health insurance/life insurance/benefits (including medical, dental & vision) • Voluntary Life, Critical Illness and Accident Insurance plans • 401k options with company match Mechanical Engineers Primary Responsibilities: • Design and develop structures, subassemblies, and mechanical components of truck and trailer bodies or ambulances using CAD software (Solid Edge, SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor preferred). • Create detailed 3D models of sheet metal parts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings with appropriate tolerances and material specifications. • Perform engineering calculations and analyses (structural, load, and performance) to validate designs. • Support production through technical drawings, BOMs, process documentation, and engineering change management. • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, purchasing, and quality departments to ensure design intent is maintained through production. • Review and improve existing designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and durability. • Research materials, components, and manufacturing methods for potential implementation in future designs. • Participate in prototype builds and testing to evaluate design performance and validate design changes. • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, regulatory, and customer standards. • Provide technical support for field issues and product improvement initiatives. Mechanical Engineer Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent • 3-5 years of prior work experience within a manufacturing setting outside of college or internships. • Software experience required: o Solid Edge o SolidWorks • MS Office product knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Epicor ERP • Able to responsibly handle confidential information. Mechanical Engineer Preferred Qualifications: • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, fabrication methods, and structural analysis. • Knowledge of materials (steel, aluminum, composites) and their applications in vehicle manufacturing. • Understanding of structural adhesives and their uses. • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards. • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as welding, forming, and assembly. • Experience with Epicor ERP systems a plus. Work Environment: Manufacturing Work Environment that will at times provide exposure to weather, noise intensity level, and proximity to moving mechanical parts. Physical Demands: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to routinely sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear, use hands and fingers to keyboard, turn handles, feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and stretch. • The employee occasionally moves around the office and enters the manufacturing areas. • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
