Job Title: Lab Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking an Lab Coordinator to test concrete for slump, density, and moisture in the lab. This position involves in-house training by experienced employees and requires working within the lab environment. This individual will report directly to the Lab Manager.

Responsibilities

+ Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractor representatives, and other relevant parties regarding construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.

+ Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.

+ Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Project Manager.

+ Adhere to strict safety standards.

+ Provide clear documentation of findings and results.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in soil sampling, concrete testing, and construction.

+ Reliability and dependability.

+ Strong communication skills.

+ Previous experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) in the field or lab.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ This individual will need to be open to obtaining progressive lab testing certifications.

Work Environment

The position is based in Louisville, KY, with opportunities to work on a variety of projects throughout the state of Kentucky. The lab coordinator will be working primarily in a lab setting. This role offers the potential to build a career path towards a Project Manager.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
