    Utilize your network topology understanding and Software Defined Networking experience to collaborate with the network team in developing APIs and interface software that meet unique customer needs. Demonstrate the capabilities of the interfaces and architectures you define in a simulated test environment that you help develop. Solve complex technical problems related to the use of the constellation for government customers as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Lead internal and vendor teams in developing and delivering software and interface requirements. Ensure systems meet performance needs including availability, reliability, upgradeability, interoperability, and security requirements. Communicate project health, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders and management teams, escalating urgent issues when necessary and driving them to closure in a timely manner. Provide visualizations, document results, and communicate them across multi-disciplinary project teams.

    Responsibilities

    + Interface with the network team to develop APIs and interface software.

    + Demonstrate interface and architecture capabilities in a simulated test environment.

    + Solve complex technical problems for government customers.

    + Lead teams to develop and deliver on software and interface requirements.

    + Ensure systems meet performance needs including availability, reliability, and security.

    + Communicate project health, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.

    + Escalate urgent issues and drive them to closure.

    + Provide visualizations and document results for project teams.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of professional software development experience.

    + 5+ years of design or architecture experience of systems.

    + Experience programming with Java, Rust, Python, or C++.

    + 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.

    + Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

    + Software Defined Networking experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + AWS, Java, Rust, React, and backend experience.

    + Ability to write code in AWS with Python, Kotlin, or Rust.

    + Experience in cloud or networking environments.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This role offers the flexibility to work remotely, with the expectation of supporting Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $95.00/hr.
