    Job Title: QA Coordinator - CAPA

    Job Description

    The primary role of the CAPA Coordinator is to manage the Quality Management System within the CAPA program. This position involves assisting in drafting audit responses for entry into the CAPA program and collaborating with CAPA owners to ensure the completion of open CAPAs.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate the CAPA program.

    + Maintain and update the CAPA log with the current status of all CAPAs.

    + Evaluate data to determine the completion of CAPA plans.

    + Assist CAPA owners in defining appropriate Effectiveness Checks.

    + Coordinate resources and communicate project progress using project management tools and techniques.

    + Ensure GMP-required documentation adheres to governmental regulations such as FDA.

    + Define and improve upon systems and processes.

    + Evaluate data from current processes to recommend improvements, cost-effectiveness, and production quality.

    + Use Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Operability (HAZOP) Studies to assess systems and processes.

    + Create or modify SOPs and work instructions, and recommend changes to batching instructions.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in CAPA management and quality assurance.

    + Experience managing the closure of CAPAs, particularly in a lab, QC, or similar environment.

    + Strong project management skills and the ability to function effectively both individually and as part of a team.

    + Familiarity with current GMPs and FDA regulations.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor’s Degree in a related Science or Engineering field.

    + A minimum of two to five years’ experience in manufacturing of food, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical products.

    + Experience with Quality Systems such as CAPA, Deviation, or Investigations.

    + Ability to develop technical compliant documents.

    Work Environment

    The role is based in a manufacturing environment with a desk area. Occasional visits to the lab or manufacturing areas may be required. The position operates Monday through Friday with start times between 7:30 and 8:00 AM, with an 8-hour shift including a 30-minute lunch break. The work culture is interactive and development-focused, with an emphasis on improving systems and processes.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
