As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts specifically for circuit card assemblies (CCA) and module assemblies. Your role will involve interpreting engineering prints to design processes, collaborating with design engineering to implement production improvements, and supporting the production floor with a focus on continuous improvement. Additionally, you will design, procure, and implement tooling to support manufacturing processes and may incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. You will be responsible for inspecting the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to ensure their efficiency and initiate corrective actions to address any problems or deficiencies. Furthermore, you will provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques while ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Design manufacturing processes and production layouts for circuit card assemblies and subassemblies.
+ Work with the operations team to support the production floor and focus on continuous improvement.
+ Design, procure, and implement tooling to support manufacturing processes.
+ Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
+ Inspect the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency.
+ Investigate and initiate corrective actions to ensure product quality.
+ Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
+ Ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations and specifications.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 4-8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
+ Experience with circuit card assemblies and general assembly.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading and AutoCAD.
+ Knowledge of cable harness and wire harness print reading.
+ Understanding of circuit card assembly processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with IPC-WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 is beneficial but not required.
+ Familiarity with surface mount technology is a plus.
+ Cable harness experience and process writing are advantageous.
Work Environment
The position is fully onsite with a 4/10 schedule. You will work the 1st shift from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Oldsmar, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $43.00/hr.
