Job Title: Flavor Compounding TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Flavor Compounding Technician who has experience in blending, mixing, and compounding chemicals as well as batch making. This role requires adherence to production formulas including labeling, weights, and lot numbers.
Responsibilities
+ Pull raw materials and products from the warehouse to fill orders.
+ Compound flavors, make blends, and emulsions.
+ Keep accurate production records.
+ Coordinate daily with the Production Manager to ensure the production and order schedule is maintained.
+ Follow good manufacturing procedures (GMP’s).
+ Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
+ Retrieve and return materials throughout the warehouse for production.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in compounding, blending, and production.
+ Knowledge of chemical processes and distillation.
+ Ability to lift, move, and carry liquid pails up to 50+ pounds.
+ Ability to hand roll 600-pound drums onto a drum cart.
+ Proactive, efficient, accurate, and organized.
+ Attention to detail and team-oriented.
+ Ability to work independently and multitask.
+ Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
+ Basic computer knowledge.
+ High school diploma required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Some experience or knowledge of batch manufacturing within a flavor, chemical, food, or beverage plant.
+ Must be able to work without limitations and restrictions.
Work Environment
This role is set in a small manufacturing environment with a total of 14 people. The company specializes in creating flavors, resulting in a work environment with strong scents. Employees are treated like family in this small, family-owned company.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belcamp, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
