Environmental Technician - ***2nd Shift***

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Technician to join our team in Hatfield, PA. This role involves working the 2nd shift, from 3 PM to 11:30 PM Monday through Thursday, and 11 AM to 7:30 PM on Fridays. You will be responsible for managing and transporting waste materials, ensuring proper categorization and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

Responsibilities

+ Transport labeled drums of waste safely and efficiently.

+ Identify the contents of drums and load/offload them onto trucks.

+ Separate hazardous and non-hazardous waste and store them appropriately in the warehouse.

Essential Skills

+ Highschool Diploma

+ Strong work ethic and a positive, 'want to work' attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 40 Hour Hazwoper certification is advantageous but not required.

+ OSHA certifications such as OSHA 40, OSHA 30, and OSHA 10 are beneficial.

+ Experience in environmental science, general labor, soil sampling, hazardous material handling, and hazardous waste disposal.

Work Environment

The position involves working both indoors and outdoors, with roughly equal time spent in each environment. You must be able to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday and be comfortable standing and walking over uneven surfaces for extended periods. You will work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
