    Job Description

    The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Design and Fabrication Project Management Team. This role involves developing and maintaining a detailed project schedule to track all project milestones, ensuring on-time delivery, and managing contract documents to ensure they are complete, current, and appropriately filed. The Project Manager will set and manage client expectations, interface with engineering leads to ensure schedule compliance, and work closely with project engineers to ensure successful design outputs approved by clients. Additionally, the role includes reviewing project submittal and fabrication drawings for adherence to design intent, meeting budgetary objectives, and generating change orders with customer approval.

    Responsibilities

    + Support the Design and Fabrication Project Management Team.

    + Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule.

    + Track project milestones to ensure on-time delivery.

    + Manage and organize contract documents.

    + Set and manage client expectations.

    + Interface with engineering leads to ensure schedule compliance.

    + Collaborate with project engineers to ensure successful design outputs.

    + Review project submittal and fabrication drawings for design intent adherence.

    + Meet budgetary objectives.

    + Generate change orders and obtain customer approval.

    Essential Skills

    + Project management experience in a manufacturing setting.

    + Proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, and project tracking.

    + Experience with vendor and client management.

    + Strong skills in Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel.

    + 2-3+ years of experience being the primary point of contact for customers.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, and architecture.

    + Proficiency in Smart Sheets, MS Excel, and MS Office.

    + Strong negotiation skills.

    Work Environment

    The position involves working with a Project Management Team comprising 7 members from the Design and Fabrication teams. The first month will require 100% onsite presence, followed by a hybrid schedule allowing for 2 days of remote work per week. The role offers the flexibility to work from home after the training period. The organization is one of the largest building materials manufacturers in the US, working on projects such as airports and train stations.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
