Job Title: Chief Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
The Chief Maintenance Engineer will effectively lead a team, managing the engineering program to ensure the highest quality of work. This role involves customer service and administration aligned with management expectations, ethical standards, and company policies. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and supervising all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and manpower development programs.
Responsibilities
+ Provide daily leadership and supervision to engineering staff.
+ Manage the engineering program, ensuring high-quality work and alignment with client expectations.
+ Perform operational duties, including Watch Activity.
+ Supervise hiring, training, and development of engineers and maintenance staff.
+ Ensure performance management and development of team members through HR processes.
+ Coordinate and ensure compliance with the Safety Program.
+ Manage operational accounts and assist in budget development.
+ Track utility management and variances as directed.
+ Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment.
+ Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
+ Maintain effective maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
+ Develop and maintain an Operations Document Library.
+ Conduct building systems and equipment training.
+ Coordinate maintenance with contractors and tenant personnel.
+ Oversee all building systems, staying current with HVAC technology.
+ Maintain communication with tenants, clients, property management, and vendors.
+ Develop specifications and manage maintenance service contracts.
+ Respond to emergencies and customer concerns promptly.
+ Implement inventory control and purchase parts and supplies.
+ Ensure compliance with building codes and directives.
Essential Skills
+ 7+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a commercial setting.
+ 3+ years of leadership experience.
+ Strong skills in electrical, boiler, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
+ Strong computer skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with boiler systems and HVAC as primary disciplines.

Work Environment
Responsible for overseeing maintenance of two large buildings. Standard hours are 7 am-3:30 pm, with flexibility. Dress code includes steel-toed shoes and jeans.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $104000.00 - $112320.00/yr.
