    Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description

     

    As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for providing shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory materials, supplies, parts, and equipment at the assigned facilities. You must not be afraid of heights as you will be trained on a cherry picker forklift.

    Responsibilities

    + Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and process items for storage and/or shipment according to established procedures and customer requirements.

    + Receive materials and/or finished goods daily, verifying the quality, type, and amount of materials received and ensuring appropriate documentation is present.

    + Operate distribution equipment as required in a warehouse environment under various temperatures.

    + Complete all required training and adhere to site distribution standards, including document control and quality policies.

    + Communicate effectively with internal personnel and maintain strong customer service skills.

    + Recognize deviations from accepted practices and ensure adherence to shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + 0-2 years of related experience, preferably in logistics with a life science company.

    + Ability to operate powered industrial trucks and equipment at various heights.

    + Basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Not be afraid of heights.

    + Experience with material handling and forklift/power industrial vehicle operation.

    Work Environment

    Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, including room temperature (59-86°F), cold-room (36-46°F), and freezer-room (-4 - 23°F). Perform repetitive tasks involving walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs continuously, and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed. Local travel may be required, and you must be ready to start work on time daily, maintaining strong attendance performance.

    This is a Contract position based out of Greencastle, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.35/hr.
