Job Title: Warehouse Specialist

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Specialist, where you will play a key role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting inbound products, accurately picking and packing orders, and maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

+ Comply with all appropriate policies and procedures to maintain training, safety, GxP, and governmental agency standards.

+ Comprehend and accurately process paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures.

+ Cross-train in multiple areas of the operation while maintaining a low level of quality mistakes.

+ Accurately receive and inspect inbound product/material for infestation, overages, shortages, and damages.

+ Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of product is picked.

+ Transfer and locate material/product to general storage areas or shipping locations.

+ Verify quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer’s order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and accurate.

Essential Skills

+ High School Diploma or GED to complete basic math calculations and understand training documents and warehouse signage.

+ Pass medical screening and background checks conducted by local, state, and/or federal authorities.

+ Versatile and adaptable to work overtime with little to no advance notice and possess good multi-tasking skills.

+ Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, positive team-oriented environment with moderate supervision.

+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, general computer skills, and RF scanners.

+ Ability to comprehend and execute standard problem-solving skills and communicate effectively both verbally and written.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Capable of lifting 50 lbs. or more with assistance, and able to bend, reach, stoop, climb, stand, and walk for entire shifts of 8 hours or more.

+ Ability to work in an atmosphere range of 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F).

+ Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to complete assigned tasks.

+ Operate various types of material handling equipment including forklifts and hand tools while maintaining productivity and accuracy.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime as business needs demand. The warehouse environment requires wearing PPE and working with material handling equipment. The atmosphere temperature ranges from 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NORTH CHICAGO, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
