    Job Title: Welder and Fitter

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fitter for a full-time position, working from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This role requires strong experience in welding and metal fabrication, focusing on railings, beams, doors, and frames.

     

    **Pay:** $22-$25

    Responsibilities

    + Perform metal fabrication on railings, beams, doors, and frames.

    + Read blueprints for accurate metal fabrication.

    + Conduct stick and pipe welding on heavy steel products like doors and railings.

    + Fabricate parts using presses and shears to bend and punch products.

    + Grind and bend products using shears and press brakes when necessary.

    + Build platforms out in the field and install railings, frames, and doors at worksites.

    + Fix and build metal components such as frames, doors, and railings by reading drawings.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2 years welding experience with Mig and stick techniques.

    + 2 years of blueprint reading experience for metal fabrication.

    + 2 years of fitting and fabrication experience specific to pipe.

    + Proficiency in using a tape measure and passing a basic math test involving fractions and decimals.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + No certifications required.

    + Ability to read off prints for fabrication.

    + Experience with Mig, Tig, and stick welding.

    + Proficiency in blueprint reading, metal fabrication, and pipe welding.

    Work Environment

     

    The work is conducted in an industrial shop with two open bay garage working areas. While the environment can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, it remains undercover.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McKeesport, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
