    Job Title: Food Production Worker

    **Shift:** Day 5am-1:30pm (Can start earlier for OT)

    **Pay:** $20

    Job Description

    This role involves being trained in various areas of food production, including palletizing spices and reading labels. The position requires climbing a 7-step ladder and heavy lifting to fill hoppers with spices. You will be responsible for reading and mixing spice recipes and must pay attention to the details on labels and boxes. Basic math skills are essential for identifying numbers and performing calculations. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

    Responsibilities

    + Train in multiple job areas related to food production.

    + Palletize spices and accurately read labels.

    + Climb a 7-step ladder and perform heavy lifting tasks.

    + Fill hoppers with spices and follow spice recipes meticulously.

    + Pay attention to details on labels and boxes.

    + Utilize basic math skills for identifying numbers and calculations.

    + Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle warehouse tasks.

    + Experience in food service and food handling.

    + Proficient in packaging, inventory, and general labor.

    + Strong basic math skills.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge and background in food service.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Experience with forklifts is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a large warehouse and manufacturing area with a strong spice aroma, ideal for those accustomed to cooking. While machines are operating, noise levels can be loud. Personal protective equipment such as masks, smocks, gloves, and goggles are provided and required. The role involves standing for 8-10 hours a day on the day shift from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.

    This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
