The Maintenance Mechanic position is a direct placement opportunity that involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving equipment used in plastics and metals operations while adhering to company policies and safety rules.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain, troubleshoot, and fix equipment used in plastics and metals operations.

    + Execute preventative maintenance according to the schedule to minimize equipment downtime.

    + Perform reactive maintenance on production lines to recover from equipment failures by repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

    + Use troubleshooting skills to identify and implement equipment improvements.

    + Complete machine tear down, repair, and assembly.

    + Collaborate with team members and operators to ensure the daily production schedule is met.

    + Start up and shut down all production equipment and systems.

    + Conduct equipment inspections to verify proper working conditions.

    + Safely operate a forklift.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5 years of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills.

    + 3 years or more of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

    + Injection Blow Molding and Plastics experience is a big plus.

    + Electrical troubleshooting and PLC control skills.

    + Ability to read and understand schematics.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must wear steel-toe shoes.

    + Basic tools are required, although additional tools will be provided.

    + Proficiency in working with robotics, automatics, lasers, and conveyors.

    + Experience in plastic injection blow molding and plastics manufacturing.

    Work Environment

    Work in a plant focused on plastic injection blow molding, employing highly robotic and automated systems. The shift runs from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays as needed. The facility requires steel-toe shoes, and basic tools will be provided.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $58300.00 - $72800.00/yr.
