    Job Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician** **Job Description

     

    As a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician, you will perform duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. This includes mechanical, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines. You will read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints, perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities, and use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. Additionally, you will detect faulty operations, and defective materials, and report any unusual situations to management.

    Responsibilities

    + Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

    + Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints for troubleshooting and repair.

    + Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

    + Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

    + Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to management.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aptitude.

    + Ability to change out a motor (480V).

    + Experience in a highly automated, production environment, preferably in the food and beverage manufacturing sector.

    + Proficiency in working with conveyor systems, PLCs, automation, and Multivac machines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in the food and beverage industry.

    + Experience with Multivac machines.

    Work Environment

    The majority of the plant is climate-controlled, providing a clean and comfortable work environment. Shift hours are as follows: 1st Shift is from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 2nd Shift from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and 3rd Shift from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am, Monday through Friday. Each week includes 5 hours of built-in overtime, with one day off during the week that varies, and every other weekend off.

    The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $66560.00/yr.
