Job Title: Batch Maker** **Job Description

As a Batch Maker, you will operate manufacturing equipment to mix and blend chemicals according to provided formulas. You will assist with the production of batches using the Batch Master Record System and help record production data, including raw materials used, quantities, and timing. Your role involves checking raw materials before production to ensure they match the batch sheet requirements and following production procedures carefully for accurate measurements and mixing. Additionally, you will clean and sanitize equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain cleanliness and organization in the manufacturing area according to SOPs, all while adhering to safety precautions and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

+ Operate manufacturing equipment to mix and blend chemicals according to provided formulas.

+ Assist with the production of batches using the Batch Master Record System.

+ Record production data, including raw materials used, quantities, and timing.

+ Check raw materials before production to ensure they match the batch sheet requirements.

+ Follow production procedures for accurate measurements and mixing.

+ Clean and sanitize equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization in the manufacturing area according to SOPs.

+ Follow safety precautions and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

Essential Skills

+ Knowledge of proper use of weight scales.

+ Ability to operate manufacturing equipment such as mixers, blenders, and industrial equipment.

+ Forklift certification.

+ Familiarity with Batch Coding System of Manufacturing.

+ Knowledge of radio frequency devices (RF scanners).

+ Scientific Math Aptitude and Strong Analytical Skills.

+ Basic working knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.

+ Ability to read, understand, and follow recommendations of SDS sheets (Safety Data Sheets).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to manufacture bulk personal care/cosmetic products on a production line using a multiple-phase batch making process.

Work Environment

The work environment is characterized by first shift hours from Monday to Friday, 7am - 3:30pm. Physical demands include standing for prolonged periods, walking, sitting, using hands for handling objects, reaching, balancing, stooping, and occasionally lifting up to 55-gallon drums. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $68640.00/yr.
