Seeking MIG Welders to Join Our Team in White Bear Lake, MN

1st Shift with Plenty of Overtime Available

$25-26+/hr Depending on Experience

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder who will perform advanced welding on hard steel materials, primarily utilizing MIG, Pulse style Hardwire .045 welding techniques. The role involves ultra-sonic welding, requiring high precision and skill, on materials ranging from 3/8" to 4" thick. You will work in a heat treat welding environment, responsible for your own setups, layouts of fixtures, and fit-ups. Eventually, you will receive certification and training to weld all components of booms and other parts for concrete boom trucks. All welding tasks are X-Rayed, certified, and require high-detail craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

+ Perform MIG, Pulse style Hardwire .045 welding on heavy gauge materials.

+ Conduct ultra-sonic welding with precision and skill.

+ Set up, lay out fixtures, and fit-up for welding tasks.

+ Undergo certification and training for welding components of concrete boom trucks.

+ Ensure all welding is X-Rayed and certified to meet high-detail standards.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of MIG Welding experience on heavy gauge materials.

+ Proficiency in Hardwire .045 Pulse style MIG welding.

+ 1+ year of experience in reading blueprints.

+ Strong communication skills.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment is laid-back yet team-oriented, encouraging independence. It is a clean welding atmosphere with an organized and open shop. Expect a busy environment with heavy cranes and large machinery. The standard work hours are 6 am to 2:30 pm from Monday to Friday, with heavy overtime often available, typically from 5 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
