Job Title: Final Assembler** **Job Description
As a Final Assembler, you will ensure that units are prepped for shipment by performing tasks such as attaching doors, lifting up to 50 pounds, screwing sheet metal panels together, and installing insulation. You will also utilize power tools like drills, grinders, and plasma cutting equipment, lay out, measure, and mark dimensions on materials, and fasten seams and joints with bolts, rivets, caulks, and metal drive clips to assemble components into the final product. Maintaining cleanliness of the work area is also an essential part of the role.
Responsibilities
+ Attach doors and lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Screw sheet metal panels together and install insulation.
+ Use power tools including drills, grinders, and plasma cutting equipment.
+ Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material.
+ Utilize a calculator and tape measure for accurate measurements.
+ Fasten seams and joints with bolts, rivets, caulks, and metal drive clips.
+ Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with hand tools and power tools, including impacts, grinders, drills, and saws.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience with tape measures, levels, and squares.
+ Previous mechanical assembly experience.
+ Previous fab shop experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in installation assembly, fabrication, construction, and sheet metal fabrication.

Work Environment
The work is conducted in a fab shop environment where you will manufacture large control panels that sit on top of commercial buildings. Expect a darker, dirty, and loud atmosphere. Working hours are from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with additional shifts on Fridays and Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
