Job Title: Production Worker** **Job Description

As a Production Worker, you will operate packaging machinery on a production line, package finished goods, confirm that labels are printed correctly, and palletize products once packaging is completed. You will manually feed product to the conveyor belt and assist with the sanitation of the production area. Your role requires understanding and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and good housekeeping practices. You will perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for each task and following all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs).

Responsibilities

+ Operate packaging machinery on a production line.

+ Package finished goods and confirm that labels are printed correctly.

+ Palletize products once packaging is completed.

+ Manually feed product to the conveyor belt.

+ Assist with the sanitation of the production area.

+ Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and good housekeeping practices.

+ Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner, wearing appropriate PPE.

+ Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all business activities with employees, visitors, and vendors.

+ Ensure reliable and consistent attendance, available to work any shift, overtime, or holidays as required.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in production, general labor, and packaging.

+ Familiarity with food manufacturing and GMP environments.

+ Ability to operate machinery and perform packing tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.

+ Ability to work weekends and 10-hour shifts.

Work Environment

This position is set in a food manufacturing environment, which can be humid with strong smells. The work involves either a 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 12:45 AM or a 3rd shift from 12:45 AM to 11:30 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Gate, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
