    Job Title: Production Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated Production Operators to join our team in manufacturing high-quality printing ink. We offer training for the right candidate to operate specialized machinery and engage in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.

    Responsibilities

    + Run batches of ink at proper mill settings.

    + Package finished products in various containers and apply labels.

    + Clean and maintain machines according to TPM standards.

    + Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities.

    + Weigh up batches, shift auto and manual steps, and follow process order of addition.

    + Mix batches by discharging pigment and operating mixers safely, adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    + Operate the Hockmeyer mill and maintain optimum overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) standards.

    + Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas, including processing times.

    + Operate canning equipment including press out units, pump filter equipment, and forklifts.

    + Act as a Quality Control liaison by providing ink samples, making adjustments, and recording data.

    + Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot procedures.

    + Assist with repacks.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 6 months of production experience.

    + At least 3 months of operating experience.

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Willingness to learn.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Forklift experience is preferred, but training is available.

    + Experience in mixing and pump filter industry is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a manufacturing facility dedicated to producing ink. Employees are provided with uniforms to protect personal clothing from ink exposure. Facilities include a locker room and other accommodations. Employees receive a differential for shift work, with $1 for 2nd shift and $1.50 for 3rd shift.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edwardsville, KS.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
