    Job Title: CNC Operator** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator with heavy industrial machine operating experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow detailed instructions. You will be responsible for setting up products onto machinery and ensuring the accuracy of measurements.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate heavy industrial machinery and CNC machines.

    + Read and interpret tape measures and calipers.

    + Set up and align products onto machinery.

    + Follow step-by-step instructions for machine operation.

    + Measure products to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.

    + Notify management or maintenance staff if product tolerances are not met.

    + Perform minimal deburring of products.

    + Use a hand crane to move materials off the production line.

    + Meet minimum production output requirements.

    + Complete documentation of errors, measurements, and product completion.

    + Maintain a clean work area.

    Essential Skills

    + Heavy industrial or steel fabrication experience.

    + Experience in machine or CNC operation.

    + Ability to read and interpret measurement tools such as calipers and tape measures.

    + Mechanical aptitude and ability to read basic blueprints.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced, loud, and sometimes hot or cold environment.

    + Willingness to work across three shifts: 1st (7am-3pm), 2nd (3-11pm), 3rd (11pm-7am).

    Work Environment

    The work environment consists of an older facility split into two separate buildings. It is a loud, dirty, and sometimes hot or cold space, depending on the season. The facility contains large areas of CNC machinery, weld booths, and racking systems, with plans for future upgrades. Employees work in specific departments with a supervisor and a set team. Steel-toed footwear is required for safety.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.40 - $21.40/hr.
