Job Title: Warehouse Associate** **Job Description
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for preparing products by skid, crate, or box for shipment and processing routine and standard shipping paperwork. Your role will contribute to maintaining a clean and safe working environment through the proper and timely disposition and storage of materials.
Responsibilities
+ Support assembly with repackaging, kitting, and staging of materials.
+ Safely remove and dispose of wood, plastic, metal, and other packaging materials according to standard procedures.
+ Work with SAP to update storage bin information and identify and locate materials.
+ Complete routine inspections of material handling equipment.
+ Operate a turret truck forklift to pick orders and a sit-down forklift to move picked orders from racks to shipping.
+ Handle scrap bins by transferring materials into the dumpster.
+ Unload and load trucks via the forklift each day, including receiving 3-4 trucks and loading 2 trucks daily.
+ Visually inspect parts and move them to the receiving parts staging area.
+ Operate forklift trucks and/or cranes to move materials into and out of assembly areas.

+ Experience operating a turret truck forklift

The facility is a modern, clean, and climate-controlled environment that implements 5S principles (sort, set-in-order, shine, standardize, sustain). It is organized into departments including new production, wind service, industrial, and logistics. Employees are provided with shirts but should wear durable pants. The facility emphasizes safety, with required safety glasses and steel toe shoes, and boasts an impressive safety record.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.48 - $21.42/hr.
