Job Title: Project Engineer** **Job Description
As a Project Engineer, you will plan, organize, and manage all document control and distribution processes for the Planning, Design & Construction Department. You will be responsible for handling all construction project-related documentation from initial planning through project completion. This includes maintaining effective communication with contractors, architects, and internal staff to ensure projects are tracked accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
+ Meet regularly with all parties involved to stay informed and track project statuses.
+ Prepare meeting agendas and record and distribute meeting minutes.
+ Scan, distribute, and file project documents such as designs, drawings, and specifications.
+ Verify and correct project-related documentation as needed.
+ Ensure document control and distribution systems are organized, accurate, and complete.
+ Communicate effectively with construction and contractor management teams.
+ Provide initial review of pay applications, change orders, and other incoming construction documents.
+ Conduct site walks and evaluate site conditions.
+ Perform other project engineering and management-related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of three years of experience in construction, design, or construction management.
+ Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
+ Experience in construction project documentation and filing.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Fluency in using project management tools.
+ Knowledge of CAD systems, CAFM, estimating, cost control, and scheduling.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ OSHA-10 certificate preferred.
+ PMP certification is advantageous for career progression.
+ Experience in tenant improvement projects.
+ Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
+ Familiarity with OSHPD forms and processes.
+ Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.

Work Environment
This role is based in an offsite facility in Menlo Park, associated with the main hospital. The team operates within the Project Management Office, overseeing all tenant improvement projects. Work hours are Monday through Friday, starting at 7am. The dress code is business formal.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menlo Park, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
