Are you passionate about advocacy and supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic violence? Do you want to serve as a vital connection between survivors and the services that help them move toward safety and stability?
Unity House of Troy’s Domestic Violence Program is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Non-Residential OVS Liaison to provide crisis intervention, support, and referrals to victims and survivors of domestic violence in the community.
Responsibilities
+ Provide emergency assistance to victims and survivors of domestic violence seeking services.
+ Offer emotional support, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
+ Complete referrals and establish linkages to supportive community services.
+ Conduct scheduling and administrative tasks, including participation in case conferences to develop solutions.
+ Complete all contract, documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
+ Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, which includes some nights and weekends.
+ Promote and support a work culture that values inclusion, diversity, and respect.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of experience working with domestic violence preferred.
+ Associate’s degree with two or more years of domestic violence experience will be considered.
+ High school diploma or GED with four or more years of relevant experience will be considered.
+ Valid, clean New York State driver’s license required.
+ Reliable transportation.
+ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
